What Happens to Your Details

Short version: I keep what you send me so I can reply, I never sell or share it for marketing, and I'll delete it whenever you ask.

Who is responsible

Naut-Y is run by Jamie Thompson, who decides how your details are used. For anything about your data, write to connect@naut-y.com.

What I collect

  • If you write in through the contact form: your name, email address, your message, and anything optional you add (the area, when you hope to start, a link), plus the page you sent it from and the time.
  • If you join the notes list: your email address, the page you signed up on, the time, and the exact wording you agreed to.

New submissions don't record your IP address or browser details. The site uses no tracking cookies and no third-party analytics.

Why

  • Messages are used to reply to you and, if you want to work together, to arrange a call and a proposal. That is the lawful basis: steps you asked me to take before any agreement, and my legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
  • Notes are sent only because you asked for them (consent). Every note has a way to unsubscribe, or you can reply “stop”.

Nothing is sold, rented, or shared with anyone for their own marketing.

Who processes it for me

  • Vercel hosts the site and keeps encrypted weekly backups.
  • Neon stores submissions in a database.
  • Resend delivers the notification email for each submission, and will deliver the notes.
  • Google (Gmail) holds my email, including those notifications and our replies.

These providers store data in the United States. They process it only to provide their service to me.

How long it is kept

  • Messages: up to 24 months after we last corresponded, then deleted.
  • Notes list: until you unsubscribe or ask to be removed.
  • Backups roll over automatically and are gone within about 12 weeks.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, or delete what I hold about you, object to how it is used, or withdraw consent for the notes at any time. Email connect@naut-y.com and I will act on it within one month. If you are in the UK or EU and unhappy with how I handle it, you can complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).
